Air Canada has dropped the price of their peak season flights from Detroit to Reykjavik, Iceland down to $405 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop in Montreal or Toronto each way.
June, July, and August dates are available (the most popular months to visit Iceland).
A volcano in Iceland recently erupted for the fourth time in 3 months.
Iceland sees regular eruptions and is highly experienced at dealing with them. Thus far, the recent eruptions have not had any impact on flights. But the eruption back in 2010 led to airspace closures over Europe.
UPDATE - These have increased in price to $679 CAD roundtrip.
